A veteran on the Taylor sales team, Lisa has been recognized as an Outstanding Sales Representative for Taylor Publishing Company every year since 1995. In 1997, she received the Rising Star Award from Taylor Publishing Company. Lisa was elected by her fellow sales representatives to serve as a representative on the Taylor Sales Advisory Committee.
Before working for Taylor, Lisa was an adviser for award-winning high school newspapers and yearbooks at Spring Woods High School and Memorial High School in Houston. Her staffs earned five Texas High School Press Association State Yearbook Championships, a Silver Crown from the Columbia Scholastic Press Association, a Pacemaker Award from the National Scholastic Press Association, and a Distinguished Merit rating from the Interscholastic League Press Conference (ILPC) for seven consecutive years. Lisa has served as a yearbook and newspaper judge for ILPC and the Virginia State High School Press Association. She was a faculty member of the Washington Journalism Conference sponsored by the National Press Club and continues to judge University Interscholastic League journalism contests.
Lisa is a 1980 graduate of Baylor University. She is a member of the Junior League of Houston and serves as an elder at Grace Presbyterian Church. Lisa is an avid Baylor Bear football fan and is married to an equally avid Aggie fan, Bill. They have two children, Brittany and Cody. Brittany is a first year law student at Texas Wesleyan University, and Cody is a sophomore at Blinn College in Bryan, Texas. |
